Collateral Inspection: How It Works
- The client sends the asset description, VIN or serial number and address.
- The professional representative visits the location and looks for the asset.
- VIN or serial number, condition, damage and surroundings are photographed.
- If it is not found, the report records what was observed and who was spoken to.
Spot Collateral
NCCI visits the address to see whether the vehicle or equipment is there. If the asset is spotted, the client or a designated third party is notified right away.
Collateral Inspection at the Tow Yard
When an asset is held at a tow yard, the professional representative visits the yard, confirms the VIN or serial number, and photographs the condition and any damages for the client.
What You Receive
A photo-documented report with VIN or serial, address, GPS, date and time, condition notes and the outcome of the visit.
What NCCI does not do
NCCI locates and documents collateral. The client decides what happens next.

What if the collateral is not at the address?
