NCCI Expands Loss Mitigation Specialty Services

National Creditors Connection, Inc., a Loss Mitigation, Field Contact and Onsite Inspection firm, has expanded its Specialty Services intended to help mortgage servicers keep people in their homes. 

With the government's many modification, incentive and forbearance programs, NCCI has expanded borrower contact efforts.

To develop customized borrower contact programs to best fit the needs of the mortgage industry, the sales team and loss mitigation director conduct phone calls, Webinars or face-to-face meetings with servicers.  Through a needs analysis, the servicers specifically describe what they need from NCCI to fit their needs, such as:

  •  loan modification signatures,
  •  loan modification document reviews,
  •  verification of tenants, or
  •  three-run field call programs that include skip tracing. 

In response to a request, NCCI will review and then submit a proposal with pricing. 

"No one else in our field can offer the security, technology and capacity for developing and supporting programs to meet the needs of our clients in today's market," said Lance Perry, Loss Mitigation Director. "NCCI is listening intently to servicers and remaining flexible with solutions offered to better assist the needs of customers."

One of the programs NCCI has begun is helping servicers process HAMP (Home Affordable Modification Program) packages.  Assistance is given to borrowers who have not completed the HAMP modification packet distributed by the servicer.  After the packet is completed and the modified three-month payment trial period begins, NCCI will also run field calls or use mobile Notaries to keep the borrower paying and the trial successful.

Other programs have included:

  • Deed-in-lieu Fulfillments: Includes establishing contact with a borrower so the servicer can offer a deed-in-lieu.
  • Early Intervention Techniques: Consists of running field calls to borrowers with imminent default.
  • Enhancing Loss Mitigation Services:  Establishing contact with borrower on behalf of the institute by way of letters, phone calls, or face to face field contact.
  • Signature Services:  Collecting missing signatures in the field for loan modification documents on behalf of servicers.

"In these tough times, we can help the mortgage lending industry obtain what they need from borrowers.  Our Specialty Services introduced earlier this year are already demonstrating a 60% success rate since they began.  They have proven to be a valuable tool for meeting clients' needs.  Servicers are urged to take advantage of the borrower contact methods we offer to help get through today's housing crisis," Perry added.
